Although you must be admitted to an academic program before we can officially determine your eligibility for financial aid, you can file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before you apply or are admitted to an IU Online program. Completing your FAFSA doesn’t obligate you to attend IU or to accept specific types of student aid, like federal student loans. Also, when you complete the FAFSA the Department of Education will provide you with preliminary information about your potential financial aid award amounts. The FAFSA can be completed online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
